Several months ago, I contacted an NGO, in the Netherlands to see if I could volunteer through them to obtain experience to transition into the humanitarian sector.
In November they had Anita and me up to the Netherlands for an assessment day. I passed the assessment! Very shortly after the assessment they offered me an assignment in Africa. I turned the assignment down, because I did not feel I was qualified. Today, I received another placement offer; this one was to work as a Management Advisor for Kampuchean Action for Primary Education (KAPE) in Kampong Cham, Cambodia.
This offer looks quite interesting. I am now reviewing the documents and links to information on the project and Cambodia. I have flown over Cambodia but never been on the ground there. I will keep you posted as to what happens
