About this blog

This blog is an ongoing account of my nomadic life. It began as a trip diary when I accepted a volunteer assignment in Kampong Cham, Cambodia and continued through my relocation to Phnom Penh several months later. For more than a year, I assisted two NGOs in Cambodia in their efforts to improve communications, upgrade corporate websites and implement new technologies. I finished my second assignment there in April, 2011 and returned to Switzerland, where I am currently based. On the way I spent two months in Morocco and three weeks in Jordan.

What started as observations on my daily explorations in Cambodia has morphed into a diary of my visual experiences everywhere I go.

I’ve recently updated my photographic website TomFakler.com.
